Elise Brown graduated from Teachers College, Columbia University, with an M.A. in Psychological Counseling and an M.Ed. in Mental Health Counseling. Elise assists couples and individuals in addressing past traumas, anxiety, depression, life transitions, eating disorders, interpersonal issues, anger management, and compulsive disorders. She has experience working with LGBTQ+ clients as well as those from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Elise uses an integrative approach in therapy, incorporating mindfulness-based practices, psychodynamic concepts, and other evidence-based techniques like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Collaboration with clients is of utmost importance to Elise, as she works together with them to find methods that feel most authentic and conducive to positive change for each individual.
Elise is passionate about viewing clients from a wellness model, focusing on prevention and holistic health to fully appreciate the relationship between the mind, body, and spirit. She would be honored to accompany and support you on your journey toward actualization and inner peace.
